William Temm, the 95th person I’ve met on my quest to have lunch with 500 strangers, has led a very rich life.

Boxing coach, actor, musician, lecturer, teacher and legal professional.

While these disciplines might seem unrelated, Bill says they have the same fundamentals – performance, discipline and psychology.

Bill is rather blasé about his life, but as an outsider looking in, I found it all fascinating.

Bill started combat sport as a kid and has been involved ever since, whether training, fighting, coaching or officiating.

Bill’s father was a diplomat, so he spent his childhood around the world. Along the way, he found drama and music. As an actor, he’s worked with Hugh Jackman (The Wolverine) and Mel Gibson (Hacksaw Ridge). As a guitarist, he’s done session work and hundreds of professional gigs.

Bill studied politics, history and law at university. He lectured at university then became a high school teacher. He is now a full-time boxing trainer, and also works for a law firm, which involves interviewing clients up on criminal charges.

Wow. Just because Bill is modest about his life, doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to be impressed.
