Megan North, the 326th person I’ve met on my quest to have lunch with 500 strangers, has a beautiful dream.

She’s going to give keynote speeches about mental health to audiences throughout the world.

The best thing about Megan’s dream is that she’s actively working to make it a reality, by doing speaking training and crewing for other professional speakers.

There was a time in Megan’s life, about a decade ago, when she was in a very dark place, so she understands what it’s like to have a mental health challenge, and how to overcome it.

Megan’s public speaking dream is the latest chapter in her wonderfully diverse career path.

After spending the first 12 years of her career as a legal secretary, Megan transitioned into HR, where she held several leadership roles. Two years ago, she launched her own business, Wellness While Working, which helps female executives manage overwhelm. Megan also volunteers as a mentor for Success Works Partners, which teaches employability skills to women with a criminal record, who often find it very hard to get a job.

The life Megan has built tells you the sort of person she is – someone with the heart to help other people, the curiosity to explore new ideas and the courage to try different things. She’s also a spiritual person who feels gratitude for her many blessings.

I’m looking forward to the day I get to hear Megan deliver a powerful keynote speech, in which she shares some of the wisdom she’s gained during her rich life.
