Here’s a fun fact about May Chang, the 149th person I’ve met on my quest to have lunch with 500 strangers.

May has been in the same book club for two decades.

Every six weeks or so, one of the ladies (they’re all ladies) hosts the other members of the club. The host not only provides the venue and the refreshments, but also chooses the book.

As luck would have it, May is hosting the next meeting, and has chosen The Yield, by Tara June Winch, which won last year’s Miles Franklin Literary Award.

When May asked me to nominate a book that had changed my life, I went for something dark – The Great Terror, by Robert Conquest, which chronicles Stalin’s crimes.

Each to their own.

I really liked May – she’s got a vibrant personality and an inquisitive mind. Plus, she loves books.

When May’s not reading, she’s working in her business, Agility Marketing, which she founded in 2018.

May is very knowledgeable about branding and marketing, so if your business or not-for-profit needs help, she’d be a great choice.
