Sophie Luttrell, the 250th person I’ve met on my quest to have lunch with 500 strangers, is passionate about social issues and making an impact on society.

Sophie works for the Mental Health Commission of NSW as a senior policy advisor and acting manager for advocacy and reform. She’s also studying for her masters in public and social policy.

Previously, Sophie was at Wesley Mission, where she helped grow the organisation by playing a key role in the tenders team.

One of the things I love about having lunches with strangers is you never know where they’ll lead. During my time with Sophie, we had a wonderfully free-flowing conversation that covered every topic imaginable, from work and family to goal-setting and social conditioning.

Sophie is excellent company. Besides being a good conversationalist, she’s also self-aware and quick to laugh.
