Saurabh Kaura may be in his mid-twenties, but he’s got the intelligence and mindset of a much older person.

Saurabh, the 201st person I’ve met on my quest to have lunch with 500 strangers, makes a point of looking for ways to step out of his comfort zone, so he can learn new skills and become a better person.

He also goes out of his way to build new relationships, whether through a podcast he co-hosts or a Meetup group he founded.

Saurabh is ambitious and proactive. He doesn’t wait for opportunities to fall into his lap; he goes out and makes them happen.

It was only a few years ago that I developed the same mindset. If I’d had the same approach to life as Saurabh when I was his age, I know I would’ve enjoyed much better outcomes.

Saurabh is from India: he moved to Sydney in 2019 to study the Master of International Business degree. He graduates next week. So Saurabh is at the start of what I’m sure will be a very successful career. Any employer would be lucky to have someone of his calibre.
