Christine Day is one of those rare individuals who have strong technical, people, sales and marketing skills.

Christine, the 265th person I’ve met on my quest to have lunch with 500 strangers, got a strong technical foundation at university, where she studied business, majoring in both information processing and systems analysis.

So when she began her career, Christine naturally worked in a technical capacity. But because she was so warm and had such good people skills, she was encouraged to move into sales.

Christine did well in sales, because rather than just trying to flog product, she took the time to listen to the customer, discover their problem, understand their goals – and then, if her product was suitable, present it as the solution.

From there, Christine held sales management roles, which she enjoyed even more, because she could help and mentor others.

Throughout her career, Christine has specialised in software and technology – not just in a sales capacity but also with a marketing consultancy, Results 2Day, she’s run for almost a decade. Results 2Day helps SaaS companies meet their business objectives by setting and implementing marketing strategies aimed at growth.

Christine has many strengths, but the thing that most impressed me were her people skills. Christine is very open, she’s a good listener and she radiates positive energy.
