What you see is what you get with Danny Doff, the 33rd person I’ve met on my quest to have lunch with 500 strangers.

I liked Danny the moment I met him. He’s a classic people person – warm, down to earth and a great conversationalist.

It’s a good skill to have, because Danny is a real estate agent in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, which would have to be one of the most competitive markets in Australia.

They say that real estate is actually about people rather than properties, because the key to success is to build trust and credibility with vendors and buyers.

About six months ago, Danny added another weapon to his arsenal: video stories. Danny interviews local residents and other business professionals, which is perfect for someone who likes getting out and meeting people. He also shoots behind-the-scenes footage, so locals can see what’s going on at listings and auctions.

What a brilliant way to build trust and credibility with members of the community.

One day, I hope to have enough money to buy one of Danny’s properties.

P.S. While I was travelling home after my lunch with Danny, I suddenly remembered that I’d interviewed him during a past life.
